Venetian scriban with two bodies, called trumeau, in european varnish with gold decoration on a black background on all sides and inside, with typical chinese motifs : characters, lake landscapes, trees, flowers and birds.

The lower part of the chest of drawers opens with four drawers in three rows, drawers with strongly curved recesses, surmounted by a flap forming a writing desk which uncovers a window centred by six drawers, one of which contains a silvered metal writing set, above which are four small hidden sliding shelves used as candlestick holders.
The upper part has two dark panels of agglomerate mirror decorated with an antique couple carrying thyrses, their interior decorated.
Flat sides, scalloped baseboard, moulded cornice with two caps. Original ormolu handles and lock escutcheons.
