Rare flat removable middle desk in blackened wood decorated with brass nets in the frame. The belt opens on three drawers. The desk rests on four curved legs with 7 cut sides. The top is covered with leather and set with a brass mold. The desk is adorned with gilded bronzes and chiseled into movable pull handles, keyholes, offcuts forming Indian heads, and clogs.
The desk is stamped by cabinetmaker Jacques Dubois (master in 1742), the bronzes are hallmarked with "Crowned C".
