Rectangular shaped box with blown and cut crystal. The box is decorated with a cross cut and large stripes in the corners. The crystal is set in an ormolu mount with finely chased flower bands. The lock is decorated with a motif of cornucopias. This box by the fineness of the crystal cut and the quality of the bronze burnished is representative of decorative objects of the early 19th-century, the Restauration period and in particular of the production of Creusot.
