Oil painting on woodpanel, allegory with Juno and Saturn comes from the studio of Antwerp de Jacob de Backer.
In the form of a Venus the goddess is inclined frontally towards the spectator, at the foot of the Juno their symbol of the peacock.
With her left hand she has the coins, in her right hand she holds a golden cup.
Saturn shows his muscular back to the viewer to the left of the image.
In the background King Minas rises from a river, on the shore is his gilded robe.
The painting impresses with its format and quality and thanks to the main character Juno.
Painting is mostly in the original state of the period 1570 - 1600. A minimal crack has been restored.
