A very handsome flat desk in blackened pearwood with very fine ornamentation of chased and gilded bronzes on the drawers and sides.
It opens with three drawers in the waist, the middle drawer recessed, all encircled by gilt bronze with clasped gadroons. The rectangular top, upholstered in leather, is highlighted by a molding with chased clasps at the corners. The four elegant legs are adorned in their camber of a broad leafy fall and lion paws.
