Rare pair of large low seats known as ‘coin de feu’, in carved and deeply moulded walnut, with flat ‘à la reine’ backs, cane-shaped seats and backs. The top of the back, known as a ‘dos d'âne’, is decorated with a bouquet of flowers in full bloom in the centre of a fine branch of foliage, while the crosspiece is carved with a rich bouquet around garlands of flowering foliage. The armrests with cuffs rest on supports set back from the waist; the arched legs are crowned with a sprig of flowers and end in a very slight scroll. The legs are cambered and crowned with a scroll of flowers.
Louis XV period, can be attributed to the master cabinetmaker from Lyon.
