Perseus and Pegasus, important bronze group inspired by Greek mythology, published by the Parisian foundry Schmoll (stamp) of the early twentieth century after the original by Emile Picault presented at the Salon des Beaux-Arts in 1888. Patina of brown-green origin nuanced, beautiful state of presentation. André Louis Emile Picault was born in Paris (1833/1922) student of Henri Royer, his works generally take their origins with historical or mythological characters as well as allegories in the patriotic sense. He exhibited at the Salon from 1863 to 1909.
