Round box in composition in the imitation of the marble.
It has a rich pink gold mounting on its sides.
It is decorated with a gouache on vellum representing a bouquet of flowers in a basket on a marble entablature.
The colors are very fresh, and the painting of a great mastery is to be compared to the works of Gerard Van Spaendonck.
This painter born in 1746 and dedicated in 1822, was very appreciated for his still life paintings with flowers and contributed to decorate many snuffboxes under Louis XVI.
