Late 18th century gold oval box in its case

Oval-shaped snuffbox in chased and engraved multi-tone gold. The sides are engine-turned with parallel and circular fillets, and engraved with garlands in a relief surround of leaves and flowers on a sand-blasted gold background. The center of the lid is decorated with a three-color gold medallion dedicated to the attributes of love in low relief (altar and doves). The side panels are separated by fire pots. In its gilded burgundy leather case.
Late 18th century, Switzerland.
Prestige hallmarks: crowned P, initials VPF in heart.
Control: Owl head.
In good condition, one scratch on a side panel.
