Series of 4 cabriolets armchairs with straight backs, said to be made of shovel iron, fluted legs. Parisian work of the Louis XVI period, end of the XVIIIth century, it bears the stamp of a good carpenter in seats: Marc Gautron (Only one of the armchairs bears the stamp of Marc Gautron, the other identical armchairs are of the same master).
Marc Gautron, master on October 25, 1785. He resided on rue de Cléry until the Revolution. He produced Louis XVI chairs of classical models, molded and carved with care.
Beautifully proportioned, fully restored and reupholstered in the old fashioned way in horsehair on straps, covered with a rich silk fabric in the Louis XVI style in light blue, richly enhanced with matching trimmings.
Our seats are in excellent condition; it is a very decorative set, with fresh and light colors, very evocative of the sweetness of life in the eighteenth century. Old lacquer rechampie of origin or 19th century.
