Louis XVI armchair, fluted and tapered legs, decorated with acanthus leaves and reeds. Stamped JB Sene, and marked 3 below the belt. Louis XVI period
Jean-Baptiste Sene, 1748-1803, received his master's degree in 1769, and was one of the leading carpenters and suppliers to the Crown under Louis XVI.
Condition report: restored and reupholstered in December 2024. Perfect condition. Napoleon III period 18th-century Lyonnaise chinoiserie.
