Louis XV mirror in carved and gilded, burnished and amati linden wood. Polylobed rectangular in shape, this mirror is made up of a mirror mainly encased in ice-creams. Sideways decorated with two large twining linear braces raised by leafy olive branches. These are horizontally united by centered reserves of interlacing. The pediment receives in the middle part a decoration of basket gorged with figs, bunches of grapes and other foliage in a multi-lobed cartridge where acanthus stripes run around the periphery. The base horizontally receives a wreath in the middle part of it. ; the whole resting on two small sinuous feet wrapped in spirals. The main ice as well as the ice creams consist of a flat glass plate lined with tin and lead immersed in a mercury bath in order to dissolve them there. The tin associated with the lead then giving this warm and luminous side to the mirror called "mercury". Note the delicacy, finesse and nervousness of execution of this mirror more picturesque. The decoration centered on the cultivation of the olive, tells us more about its origin, very probably an agricultural domain or more precisely an olive grove Observation: This mirror is in a fabulous state of conservation totally from the period.
