Bust of a young African, patinated terracotta, produced at the end of the nineteenth century by the Goldscheider manufacture, signed Lévêque with the presence of stamps and numbering. Very nice general condition, original patina with a slight wear in accordance with its age, small alterations (possible restoration on an angle of the base at the back).
Auguste Lévêque (1864/1921) sculptor born in Nivelles in Belgium, member of the Society of French Artists, his works are exhibited at the Salon and obtain many mentions including a medal of Honor in 1902.
