A beautiful monumental patinated bronze French statue with name "Animus et VIs", beautiful work by Jean Lavergne (1863-1928).
Versions of this sculpture in terracotta by the Goldscheider firm are mainly known, such a large version in bronze is rare.
It is signed and it is provided with founder information: J DEL COR TE FONDEUR RUE DU FRONT TISPIC BRUXELLES. The height of the statue without spear is 98 cm.
