A transformation table equipped with a rack system allowing to constitute a musician's desk. In mahogany and mahogany veneer, it opens as a belt with a leather-covered writing tablet and three drawers. The rack-and-pinion desk is fitted with two articulated light arms. It rests on a hexagonal shank terminated by a tripod base.

Joseph Gengenbach, known as Canabas, cabinetmaker received Master in 1766 is undoubtedly the most innovative cabinetmaker in the design of small mahogany combination furniture. The most emblematic pieces of furniture of its production are the cooler and the lectern.
