Very nice pair of "cabriolet" back armchairs. They have the stamp of the Lyon carpenter François Lapierre received Master in 1784.
These two seats have a decoration of flowers in high relief, on the backs as well as on the crosspieces.
The armrests are cuffed.
The armchairs rest on a slightly curved base terminated by roll-up feet.
They are furnished with a very beautiful silk with a chinoiserie decoration.

Very good state
The two armchairs are stamped on the reinforcement bar "F. Lapierre A Lyon"
18th century
Historical annecdote: François Lapierre was born in Savoy in 1753. He was then a companion with the carpenter Nicolas Parmantier, in Lyon. He was received as a Master in 1784. His stamp is most often found on the reinforcement bar. Very rarely you can find a label inside the seat belt like the Hache in Grenoble.
