Large Louis XV armchair in molded and sculpted beech stamped by the Parisian carpenter François Reuze (who became Master on July 20, 1743).
An elegant decoration with a plant motif `` Rocaille '' is on the backrest, the crosspiece, as well as the uprights of the feet: leaves, flowers, staples, volutes ...
This flat back seat is covered with a beautiful silk.

Historical annecdote
François Reuze (1716 - March 17, 1799) is a Parisian cabinetmaker who had a workshop in rue de Cléry.
He was one of the suppliers of Crown Furniture. He worked in particular for Queen Marie-Antoinette.
His stamp includes the letters "FRC" which form an abbreviation of his first name.
