Pair of Louis XV convertible armchairs with a gray "lacque".
They bear the stamp of the carpenter Louis Charles Carpentier received Master on July 26, 1752.
These two seats have an elegant scalloped backrest, and are based on curved legs.
The armrests are decorated with cuffs.
There is a beautiful silk in the yellow tones of Maison Germain on these two 18th century chairs.

Historical annecdote: Louis-Charles Carpentier was the favorite carpenter of Duke Philippe d'Orléans. He was based in rue de Cléry in Paris. He became a Master in 1752 and he worked until 1779
