Cabinet inlaid with ebony, green ebony, orange tree, cedar, aloe, walnut, elm burl, thuja burl, bramble walnut, blackened wood and pewter serious. The upper part opens with two columns of four drawers framing a leaf opening onto a theater itself surmounted by a drawer. The back of this theater slides and lets glimpse four secret drawers. The molded cornice also has a flap opening onto additional storage. The upper part rests on a tray surmounting the belt opening with three drawers. Each of these drawers is embellished with a cut and openwork apron.
The base is made up of four front columns and two rear columns. They are embellished with rings and twisted marquetry. The six feet rest on "ball feet" and are joined by an inlaid tablet with a geometric pattern of cubes.
The leaf is inlaid with an architectural drawing representing a perspective of columns according to a design by Hans Vredeman de Vries. The interior of the theater is inlaid with several bouquets of flowers in vases within architectural interiors. The various drawers, the cornice and the columns are inlaid with floral motifs, interlacing and birds.
All storage is locked with discreet bronze keyholes.
