A Charles II pietra dura-inlaid padouk, kingwood and ebony cabinet-on-stand. The pietra dura panels originating from Florence, 17th century. The cabinet circa 1690, the gilded stand modern.
The central door opens to reveal 4 drawers, hiding 9 secret drawers.
The frame constructed in oak, the exterior veneered with kingwood, padouk, pietra dura, pietra albarese (Tigrato d’Arno) and gilded bronzes.
All drawers made of massif walnut.
Attributed to the Gerrit Jensen (1667-1715) workshop.
Perfect condition.
Dimensions :
Cabinet with the base : 165 cm high, 125 cm large, 49 cm deep.
Without the stand : 75 cm high, 119 cm long, 44 cm deep.
