Octagonal frame with pietra dura decoration, Italy, XVIIth century

Beautiful Baroque octagonal frame made in wood, ebony and ebonised veneer. Wooden decoration is of undulating mouldings framing eight pietra dure rectangles intercalated with ebony sections, with metal inlay and small metal flower-shaped motifs.

In general good condition, with its original structure and pietra dure pieces. Some losses of veneer and metal inlay, a small loss at one pietra dura, a small hole on the side of the frame.
