Albert-Ernest Carrier de Belleuse : 1824/1887 was among the great French sculptors of the nineteenth century, he obtained numerous awards, was a master of apprentice of RODIN and appointed Director of works of Art at the Musée de Sèvres.
Sculpture of the late nineteenth century, whose face is probably inspired by Marguerite BELLANGER artistic figure of her model era.
Very nice general condition, very light inclusions in the marble.
The base is included in the indicated height.
