"Mazarine" chest of drawers with three rows of drawers, arched like a crossbow, in Rio rosewood, embellished with geometric motifs in brass fillets, arranged in levels in two wide convex side drawers ; with drop handles and ormolu frames inscribing a central concave drawer, featuring a masked keyhole. The sides, themselves decorated with a broad geometric motif of brass fillets on a rosewood base, are joined to the front by two openwork jambs, supported by gilded bronze lion paws. This piece of furniture is topped by a wide overhanging top encircled by a molded gilt bronze “lingotière” gallery, featuring a central four-lobed motif, joined by two circular motifs of fine brass fillets, set in a wider filleted frame.
