Large mirror with a 17th century burr walnut frame and embossed brass veneer.
This model features an openwork pediment richly decorated with birds, cornucopias, fruits, and foliage in arabesques. Note that this exuberant decoration is reproduced on the similarly openwork brass plaques and spandrels.
This mirror also features a double frame of embossed brass friezes with floral motifs and surrounded by black-tinted molded strips.
The mercury glass is original.
The parquet flooring is also original.
