Sèvres porcelain pink-bottomed litron cup

A Sèvres soft-paste porcelain litron cup and saucer, with polychrome and gold decoration of a semisethe of barbels between two friezes of pearls on a pink background, the rims surrounded by bands of pearls and flowers.

Dated circa 1785

Marks of painter Michel Gabriel Commelin (active in Sèvres from 1768 to 1802) and gilder André Joseph La France (active from 1776 to 1803).
