Plate with polychrome and gold decoration in the center of a bouquet of roses in a medallion surrounded by a garland of flowers, and on the side of six medallions containing flowers alternating with a semiset of florets between two blue-ground braids enhanced with gold pearls. The edges are decorated with gold fillets.
Mark of interlaced LL and letter-date LL for the year 1788.

Pieces with this decoration are named “Bombelle” by the Sèvres manufactory, referring to the service purchased in May 1786 by the Marquis de Bombelle, French ambassador to Portugal. Several “Bombelle” services, some with tea sets, were sold at the end of the 18th century.
