17th & 18th centuries French furnitures and Art
Exceptional large-eared natural beech armchair, resting on four small arched legs, from the L.XV. period.
This uniquely molded seat, with its curves and counter-curves that punctuate the contours of the belt and back, is of the highest quality and demonstrates the mastery of its carpenter.
If you look hard enough, you might be convinced that there's a trace of stamping.
In any case, one thing is certain: this chair is the work of a great carpenter, and we think it might be close to the production of Claude Louis Burgat, received as Master in 1744.
