Offered by Baptiste Jamez Fine Art
Magnificent set of six oval-shaped salt cellars with matching spoons.
The openwork vermeil mounts, crafted in solid silver and gilded with fine gold, feature an opulent decoration of floral and foliate garlands, scrolls, acanthus leaves, and rocaille motifs. The uprights are formed by dolphins entwined around tridents, with some areas finished in a matte texture. The salt cellars rest on four small leafy scroll feet.
The delicately crafted spoons are adorned with flowing lines, detailed with threads, acanthus, laurel leaves, rocaille motifs, and ribbon bows. The bowl of each spoon is shaped like a shell.
