• 6 white wine glasses – H. 6.6 × D. 8 cm
• 6 champagne coupes – H. 9.2 × D. 11.2 cm

Each piece is signed R. Lalique France beneath the base.

The “Tokyo” model was created by René LALIQUE in 1930. It appears in the 1932 catalogue and was listed in the 1937 price list. Production ceased after 1947.

Provenance
Private collection. Originally acquired directly from Maison LALIQUE, thence by descent.

The Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon holds a Tokyo box created by René LALIQUE in 1921, foreshadowing the eponymous service. The Lalique Museum in Wingen-sur-Moder also houses pieces from the Tokyo service, on deposit from a private collection.

Stylistically related to the Nippon model, it is nevertheless considerably rarer.
