Louis XV walnut games table from the 18th century

This elegant Lyon games table in blond walnut rests on a curved base topped with carved shells and ending with pretty "crow's feet" topped with acanthus leaves.
The front and back crosspieces are also finely carved with shells and arabesques on a punched background.
It opens to a large game storage drawer and two removable token shelves on the crosspieces.
The balance and dynamism of the lines, the quality of the ornamental sculpture testify to the elegance of the beautiful bourgeois furniture of Lyon during the 18th century.
