Copper embossed, bronze and silver perfume burner Japan 19th century

Copper container, silver and bronze details. Ho-Ho (phoenix) decoration of plants and flowers, remarkable embossed work. It is rare to find this exceptional quality. The container has an openwork lid allowing the evacuation of fumes, a larger hole at the front allowed fuel or incense to be added without lifting the lid. The handle is thin and very cut out which prevents overheating. We do not know what the precise use of this container was, its lightness makes us think of an object that we carry, so we think it could be a hand warmer.
Good condition. Beautiful original "leather" patina.
