Holmstedt 97x143cm 127x170cm framed Karl Kaufmann (Neuplachowitz, 1843 - Vienna, April 27, 1905) Austrian painter of landscapes and architecture in Neuplachowitz, Austrian Silesia. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Kaufmann Karl traveled and painted in Norway, Holland, Germany (Franconia, Danzig, Königsberg) and Italy (Naples, Rome, Venice). From 1900, Karl Kaufmann lived constantly in Vienna. He often signed his works using pseudonyms: Byon, B. Lambert, C. Charpentier, Charles Marchand, E. Leutner, H. Carnier, W. Carnier, F. Gilbert, O. Halm, Joseph Holmstedt, R. Merkner, M. Heger, Hobart, L. van Howe, van Hove, R. Jäger, Laarsen, Lun97dberg, F. Marchant, J. Marchant, C. Poul, F. Rodek, J. Rollin, Taupiac, L. Voigt, R. Benda. Karl Kaufmann died on April 27, 1905 in Vienna. His paintings are in private collections around the world.
