Offered by Franck Baptiste Paris
Large pair of hanging corners in rosewood veneer.
Violin-shaped model with delicately scrolled uprights and openwork sides.
The two corners have four curved shelves.
Oak frame.
Good state of conservation, small usual restorations.
Parisian work from the Louis XV period around 1760.
Dimensions:
Height: 100cm; Width per side: 19 cm, depth: 19 cm
Our opinion :
Our pair of corner shelves were used to display porcelain in the grand salons of the nobility.
Furniture storage inventories are full of “pairs of stepped corners” but few of these very airy models have reached us, in particular because of their great fragility.
