Exceptional and rare small commode in voilette wood from the Regency period, made in Paris in 1720, very early 18th century.
The commode we are presenting is a fine example of Regency furniture, adorned with finely chased bronze trim featuring dolphins for the handles and Indian heads for the falls.
The four legs are adorned with acanthus-leaf sabots.
Each drawer has an inverted curved shape and is separated by a moulding.
Tombode" chest of drawers, top in royal red Belgian marble with original corbin beak.
It comes with its own key.
This model can be compared to the work of cabinetmaker Etienne Doirat, (Paris, 1675-1732).
Perfect condition.
