In a perfect state of preservation, this set of twelve filet-style flatware pieces is made of solid silver, six of which bear the number "D.C.T.", the other six bear no monogram. It is a true suite produced by the same master silversmith.
The control mark is a head of Michelangelo, known as "Vieillard", Paris 1er titre, in force from 1819 to 1838.
The Master Goldsmith's hallmark "G.Fe.R with a salt tong" is that of Godot Victoire-Joséphine (wife of Rivet Jean-Joseph), goldsmith and spoon-maker, 380 rue St-Denis, Paris, registered July 5, 1832. They are housed in a modern case.
