Tripod.
Bronze with antique green patina. Italy, 19th century.
Athenian mounted on three hoofed feet adorned with triglyphs, a garland of fruit and surmounted by goats' heads. The center is adorned with plant scrolls.
Inspired by Roman furniture, this Athenian features ornamentation typical of Roman bronzes.
