This very decorative mirror has a frame decorated with richly carved spandrels decorated with exploded shells and flowers in high relief.
Note the elegance and perfect balance of the pediment animated by three putti standing out in high relief, and evolving in the middle of openwork motifs in leafy scrolls.
Two putti, naked and one helmeted, sit in the foreground, while at the top, the third stands on a barrel overflowing with grapes (Young Bacchus? Iconography of Autumn?)
