Large vase illustrating the story of Joseph and Zuleikha:
Rare vase with molded decoration and painted in vivid polychromy, decorated with two polylobed medallions on a background of floral stems, each decorated with a scene from the story of Joseph and Zuleikha, the wife of Potiphar, an officer of the pharaoh.
First Scene: Zuleikha's friends cut their fingers in admiration as they gaze at Joseph's beauty. (Quranic version of the story)
Second scene: Probably their wedding (neither in the bible nor in the Quran), rather a wedding scene
