A lady's desk, all sides, in satinwood veneer with decorative effects of curling, with a curved shape underlined all around as well as the feet of a gilt bronze net. The top is covered in fawn leather and has an ormolu moulding on the top.
It rests on four slightly arched legs underlined by long gilt bronze falls, ending in leafy sabots on castors.
Drawing handles and lock entrances in chased and gilded bronze complete the beautiful ornamentation.
Parisian work from the Louis XV period. Stamped by the master cabinetmaker Jean Matthieu Chevallier ( 1696 - 1728 ).
