French furniture & objets d'art from the 18th century
Under LXVI, the barometer invented by Toricelli becomes indispensable.
It is found in the entrance hall or in the working cabinet.
Our gilded wood barometer presents the classical features of the LXVI period. The upper pediment with its crown of laurel leaves surrounds a dove symbol of love and peace, the legs resting on two crossed trophies. The dial is surrounded by beautifully carved garlands and the amortization three rows of carved foliage finish the frame of the barometer
Very beautiful gilding
Complete and in working condition, tube and system refurbished.
