Armchair with a flat circular back in carved, molded and waxed walnut from the Louis XVI period. Beautiful woodwork; ample medallion backrest pinched on the edge, straight armrests with very flared cuffs resting on consoles with pilasters raised with acanthus leaves forming a body to the belt by their implantations in the plumb of the front foot. Two rectangular connecting dice extend the visual harmony by unifying the consoles, the belt crosspieces and the base. This one is made of four legs. All are tapered with deep flutes, strangled in their pinched tops at their bases. The whole woodwork is harmoniously covered with a rich ornamentation of interlacing and sequins arising from the acanthus of the supports of armrests unite without weighing it down its architecture of the most harmonious. The whole of an extreme finesse without the slightest superfluous is sufficient to itself. Balance, responsiveness, elegance and quality are the most appropriate terms for this beautiful chair.
