Superb Consulat period bed in mahogany.
Uprights in sheath on casters, beautiful flamed mahogany.
Rich ornamentation of gilded and patinated bronzes, finely chiseled.
On the uprights: busts of Egyptian women, cassolettes, falls, quivers with winged lions and lion's heads in medallions.
On the crosspiece: dragons facing each other around a winged mask with palmette.
Varnished with a stamp.
Rare model, to be compared with the work of Jacob Desmalter for the bed of Napoleon at the Château de la Malmaison.
