Medallion representing Louis XIV in profile in ceremonial dress decorated with a horsewoman in embroidery of Calais in Carrara marble set in a gray marble frame molded with a cavet, a boudin and a flat, carved with refans leaves and motifs with broken sticks.

A medallion similar to ours is kept in the Lambinet Museum in Versailles and was made by the sculptor Pierre Puget (1620-1694) in 1684.
