Davide Calandra born in Turin October 21, 1858 died Sep 8. 1915 in Turin
Calandra was a sculptor known far beyond Italy, he studied at the Akademia Albertina of the well-known art college in Turin. In 1880 his works were shown at the exhibition of fine arts in Turin as well as at the national exhibition of artists in Italy. Three of his works were also exhibited there; in addition to large animal representations, he also made portrait busts and relief panels in bronze.
