Our opinion :
The Renaissance is a period of changes that leads to a new reflection on the beauty and aesthetics of the human body.
If the baths inherited from the Romans are considered harmful to health, the toilet is now done in rooms intended for this purpose.
In the palaces, the water arrives directly in these small cabinet of toilet which abounds in ointments, unguents and essential oils... as in the dining rooms or it is intended to wash the hands before the meals.
With its almond-shaped eyes, its large forehead and its ribbon in the hair, our fountain mask is characteristic of the canons of the Italian Renaissance.
