Large mantel clock in the form of cartel in marquetry "Boulle" and ornamentation ormolu decorated with foliage foliage brass on a background of red tortoiseshell, inlaid on all sides.
The upper-shaped marquee is wearing a winged fame. The central part shows a case containing a movement framed of four terms above an imposing winged sphinx. It rests on a base-cons decorated with a canopy or baldachin central and lined drapes, all decorated with Bells and supporting four bronze sphinxes.
Note: It should be noted the exceptional size of this model of the style of Louis XIV, the richness of the decoration of bronze, the quality of marquetry "Boulle" brass and tortoiseshell adorning the three sides.
Wear to the gilding and a few small gaps.
