Rare architect's desk in cherry wood bearing the stamp of the Parisian cabinetmaker Joseph Gegenbach known as "Canabas", received Master on April 1, 1766.
It opens on the front with two doors and a large zipper trimmed with leather.
On each side, there are two additional zippers.
The inclined top acts as a writing desk. It is covered with leather.
This piece of furniture rests on a curved base.

Historical annecdote :
Joseph Gengenbach known as “Canabas” (1715-1797) is a cabinetmaker of German origin who arrived in Paris in the middle of the 18th century.
Based in the Faubourg-Saint-Antoine, he specializes in furniture mainly in mahogany, of an original and new design with sober decor and perfect execution.
