Each baluster shape marble bosy above a gilt bronze foot. The spout adorned with an Apollo mask, the handle with a poodle above an Egyptian female head with flowers.

These vases illustrate the Arabesque taste which mixed various decorative sources, like egyptian figures, neoclassical ornaments and flowers garlands. This style was most prized by the queen Marie Antoinette who was delivered in 1781 chairs with carved poodles and sphinx for her cabinet in Versailles.
