Large covered vase with low-relief decoration representing a faun with two children on one side, and two bacchantes with a child on the other. Sphinx-shaped handles. Pierced domed cover. Rich gilding.
Signed on one side: "A CARRIER BELLEUSE"
Marks of the manufacture Nationale de Sèvres: "S.86" in green (1886 production) and "Décoré à Sèvres RF 88" in red in a circle (1888 decoration)

One of the most extraordinary models created by the famous sculptor André-Joseph CARRIER-BELLEUSE for the Sèvres factory, where he held the post of 'directeur des travaux d'art' from 1875 until his death in 1887.

The objects are on display at our gallery located rue de Beaune in central Paris, where they can be examined and picked up by appointment.
No packing or shipment cost is included in the selling price.
