Sèvres porcelaine Chess Game, dated 1978-1988

Exceptional Sèvres porcelain complete Chess Game.
The model created by Jean-Claude FEIN for the 'Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres'.

The square playing checkerboard, decorated in white and dark blue with gilt border, is supported by a gilt bronze low plinth.
Incised marks on reverse: ‘GR – 01.88 – PAA’ (Manufactured in January 1988, using Antoine d'Albis paste)
Signature 'M. ROUÉ' of Michel ROUÉ, glaze artist since promoted director of the decoration workshop at the Sèvres factory.
Dimensions: 19 3/4 inches by 19 15/16 inches. Overall height: 1 7/16 inches.

Sixteen playing pieces of white biscuit porcelain and the sixteen others of light blue biscuit porcelain.
All are marked and bear date codes for various years between 1978 and 1987.
Height of the pieces from 2 1/4 inches to 4 5/8 inches.

(Excellent condition; a minute flake to the mane of a blue knight)

Delevery information :

The objects are on display at our gallery located rue de Beaune in central Paris, where they can be examined and picked up by appointment.
No packing or shipment cost is included in the selling price.
We will happily obtain on behalf of our clients a quote for packing and door to door shipment and can recommend MAIL BOXES ETC. whom we regularly use ourselves. For International shipments, we also use FedEx.
Clients remain responsible for the choice of packers, shippers and insurers, who should be paid directly.
